Ódry Theatre

STAGE SPACES:

The University’s own theatre which is also a workshop where acting and theatre director students get the chance of practicing their skills and also of meeting the public and members of the profession when they come to see the young actors and the work of stage directors. The theatre seats 261 people and has 8-10 premières per season, many of which are world premières, and one or two performances from the previous season are revived thus included in the new programme. The Ódry Stage - where all schools that is the works of the most significant authors, are staged from the classical to the contemporary -  is a venue for the exam performances of acting students, the stage-direction of the university professors and also guest directors the most eminent representative of the profession.

 

Loft Studio Theatre

This more intimate space is mainly suitable for studio performances can be found in the loft area of the Ódry Stage. The overall capacity of this smaller theatre depending on the arrangement of the performance area seats 50-60 people.

 

Várkonyi room, Nádasdy room, Hevesi room

These rehearsal rooms are also suitable for the students’ studio and experimental. performances. The arrangement of the stage and auditorium can be modified according to needs.
